Happy Hatch Day Baby Boy!!!

What a year you had! My little baby birdie has grown into a smart-alec, zoomin' around the house, walkin' talkin' whipper-snapper!

Despite your teeny size, you think you run the house. And just when you rip out my computer keys, chew my plants to shreds, swoop all around the house like a busy-bee (all behind my back) and drive me crazy with your all-day yappin'... you fly over to my shoulder, cock your head to the side and say "BEE-BEE Booooyyyeeee! Gimme KISS KISS KISS! hee-hee-heeee!!!"

I love you, you little furry beast! Happy 3rd Hatch Day!!!

Baby boy learned a new phrase

Today he said "Come 'ere" !!! I didn't even intend to teach him that... Probably picked it up from all the chasing around the apartment I do when he's playing catch-me-if-you-can... LOL

!!! He's really talking up a storm right now... Gimme Kiss??? Kiss, kiss, kiss... Come 'ere... Gimme kiss! ...interlaced with smootch noises, his favorite noise to make...

For a little bit, he was trying to do "Baby Boy"... He wasn't very good at it. Most of the time it comes out just as... "Bee-Bee" LOL He has a real hard time with the 'Boy' part. Sometimes he gets it alright... I've only ever heard him once or twice get it crystal clear.

He's also copied my laugh... LOL It's interesting, because sometimes I'll be talking on the phone or watching tv, he's so in tune with the nuances of my behavior he'll laugh at the exact moment I start laughing too... That just makes me laugh more and he'll go along with me.

The other weird thing he's copied is the gulping noises I make when I'm drinking something... I don't even realize it's even loud enough to be a noise at all, but he's sitting on my shoulder right next to my throat...

It's so amusing what they consider interesting enough to mimic! And even more amazing that they connect the sound with an event or something...

I'm trying to take updated photos of my sock for my knitting blog, and Baby Boy decides he needs to be in the center of attention...

Baby boy's new girlfriend

Apparently baby boy found the love of his life! He's been obsessed with this sock I've been knitting -- as soon as I have it out, he runs down my arm, nearly tripping over his own little feet to get real close to nibble and talk sweet to it. I must say it is quite attractive, being all blue and big pointy things sticking out of it... Now he's wigglenecking -- this may be getting serious!!! LOL!
